One of the main reasons Tracer<\/strong> is so difficult to play is because she is mechanically demanding as a hero. Tracer\u2019s main weapon are her pulse pistols, these dual wield energy blasters are a high fire-rate low damage per shot weapon that will require you to land the majority of your shots per clip in order to deal substantial damage to your opponents. This necessitates high tracking accuracy, and due to the nature of how varied the movement is amongst heroes in Overwatch 2<\/a><\/strong>, you will need to focus on dynamic tracking.

Tracer herself is a hero who bases her survivability around her incredible movement potential stemming from her kit. Tracer has a measly 150HP, leaving her extremely vulnerable if she remains immobile; however, her abilities allow her to blink<\/strong> across a set distance quickly and even \u201crecall<\/strong>\u201d to a previous position, reversing all the damage she suffered since that point in time. Learning to use Tracer\u2019s blink and recall abilities effectively is crucial to mastering her mechanics, which means that learning to aim while utilizing her movement abilities is also critical to maximizing your impact as Tracer.

Building a strong mechanical baseline as Tracer is quite difficult, the combination of needing to stay moving, positioning yourself efficiently, and simultaneously landing the majority of your shots, makes the hero mechanically challenging than in comparison to more straightforward options such as Soldier 76<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to help you attain mastery of Tracer\u2019s unique combat mechanics, the featured task<\/a><\/strong> will help you train your ability to track targets on the move, giving you the mechanical fundamentals you need to dominate. This task will prompt you to track a dynamic target strafing horizontally while emulating Tracer\u2019s \u201cblink\u201d ability. Every few seconds, you will be teleported across a short distance and will need to adjust your aim accordingly to continue tracking the target. Focus on quickly turning, acquiring your target, and developing your reactive tracking, rinsing and repeating each time you blink across the task play area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
