Widowmaker<\/strong> is a high-risk, high-reward hero in Overwatch<\/a><\/strong>, and playing against a good Widowmaker can make you want to turn off your computer. Alternatively, playing against a bad Widowmaker feels like a free win. Widowmaker is among one of two heroes in Overwatch that can one-shot with no damage boost, with the only other culprit being Hanzo<\/strong>. Both Widowmaker and Hanzo act as the game\u2019s \u201csnipers\u201d and fill a similar playstyle. The ability to one-shot targets in a generally higher time to kill hero shooter like Overwatch is hugely impactful, as a tradeoff, Widowmaker is very squishy and prone to being dived.

Good aim alone isn\u2019t enough to make you a good Widowmaker; you also need solid positioning and game sense to excel on the hero. While playing Widowmaker, you will need to know when to take the high ground and when to play behind your teammates. A good high-ground position will allow you to pick off enemies before they can react, but Widow\u2019s kit doesn\u2019t allow for much escapability other than her grapple, so you need to know how to play around its cooldown or quickly become minced meat to a Winston<\/strong>.

There will be times when picking Widowmaker simply isn\u2019t a good idea, depending on the map and the enemy team\u2019s composition, and there will be times when picking Widowmaker is a death sentence. Ensure you aren\u2019t picking the hero into unfavorable match-ups when defending, especially on control maps, as this can lead to a swift defeat.

Speaking of unfavorable matchups, one of the most frustrating heroes to play against as Widowmaker, especially if you\u2019re still learning the ropes, is Tracer<\/strong>. Tracer\u2019s slim player model, paired with her \u201cblink\u201d ability which dashes across a short distance instantly, makes her a challenging target to land shots on. However, if you can master tracking<\/a><\/strong> the timing and distance of Tracer\u2019s blink, you can learn to click her head like any other hero. It\u2019s also worth noting that Tracer only has 150 health points, meaning you will be one-shotting her at all ranges if you can land the headshot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The featured task<\/a><\/strong> will help you with general dynamic clicking, specifically dealing with those pesky Tracer mains. This task equips you with a scoped weapon, spawning spherical targets on a wall facing you. In addition to being dynamic, the targets in this task have a unique behavior, as they emulate Tracer\u2019s blink ability and dash in a range of directions at set intervals. This task will significantly aid your ability to deal with Tracer’s movement. Focus on landing your shots immediately after a target blinks, and remember to ADS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
