Training Your Aim for Deadlock
Welcome to the world of Deadlock, Valve’s new hero shooter that acts as the perfect blend between the macro-based intricacies of a MOBA game, and the mechanics of a well refined shooter. If you want to excel in Deadlock, you will have to gain an understanding in both the steep learning curve of a MOBA, but also the aiming fundamentals needed to out-duel your foes.
Let’s start with the basics, the most important aim mechanic in Deadlock is arguably tracking, this is a game where the time to kill is high due to its MOBA nature, so unless you’ve gained an incredible lead in “souls”, the game’s currency that allows you to upgrade your stats and skills, you will need to sustain a consistent flow of damage onto your opponents in order to win your aim duels. Deadlock allows all types of movement mechanics, ranging from the classic sliding, dashing, and double jumping to things like teleporting or gaining speed boosts.
Being able to keep your crosshair glued to your foes as they dart around your screen can seem daunting at first, however, given enough proper aim training you’ll learn to make quick work of your opponents.

Today’s featured task will strengthen your reactive tracking mechanics, allowing you to excel on the lane. It features an orb shaped target that moves evasively at a consistent pace. Make sure to keep your left mouse button held down as you track the target, while trying your best to maintain accuracy as you react swiftly to the target’s movements.
