Aimlabs’ Ranked Season 2: Dusk Runners is already in full swing and runs until the beginning of December, giving players roughly eight weeks to get on board and earn their rewards. Dusk Runners features nine tasks in total, broken down into three main aiming categories: Flicking, Tracking, and Switching.
Today, we will run through all nine tasks, complete with a preview video sharing some aim training tips for improving and a sample of the task as played by aimers in the top 5 positions on the current leaderboards. With a keen eye, an open mind, and a bit of practice, you’ll be able to get yourself ranked and begin working toward the goal of becoming a Dusk Runner Grandmaster!
Flicking Tasks
A selection of tasks designed to challenge your ability to flick onto targets, each featuring a variable that will force you to adapt under different types of pressure. Your main takeaway is to focus on your accuracy, as missing targets on the flicking tasks will penalize your score. Take your time, drill on your accuracy, and don’t be afraid to run through each task multiple times so you can gradually find your rhythm, maximizing your score each time.
Soarclick
Train your click timing skills with 6 targets soaring left and right simultaneously. The more targets you kill, the smaller they become. The score is fixed, awarded per kill, and deducted per miss.
- Avoid trying to hit every target on screen; prioritize juggling 2-3 at a time.
- Keep your crosshair in the center of the walls to maximize kills.
Sideclick
Train your under-pressure flicking skills with 4 targets alternating between two walls. Targets spawn in groups and switch walls when the wave is cleared or when 2 seconds have elapsed. The score is fixed, awarded per kill, and deducted per miss.

- Aim for precise shots and switch walls early if needed.
Angelclick
Train your click timing & target reading skills with 5 targets flying along the x & y axes. The more targets you kill, the smaller and more evasive they become. The score is fixed, awarded per kill, and deducted per miss.

- Move on to the next target and take shots between their directional changes.
Tracking Tasks
Tracking tasks will feature targets that gradually move around the screen, requiring you to keep your mouse cursor over the target, firing to score points. These tasks feature no penalty for missing the target, so you can hold down left click as you attempt to correct your accuracy. Each task is designed to get gradually more challenging as your score increases, so attempt to maintain your cool and focus as the timer gradually counts down. Also, don’t be afraid to adjust your sensitivity until you can track the target smoothly.
Pongtrack
Train your precise tracking skills with targets ping-ponging off walls and changing directions between bounces. 4 health-regenerating targets spawn sequentially, each smaller and faster than the last. The score is awarded per hit, increasing with each target, with no miss penalty.

Lineartrack
Train your precise & reactive tracking skills with targets moving linearly around you. 4 health-regenerating targets spawn sequentially, each thinner and more evasive than the last. The score is awarded per hit, increasing with each target, with no miss penalty.
- Avoid shakiness; stay smooth and avoid trailing or over-correcting when targets change directions.
Controltrack
Train your precise & reactive tracking skills with targets moving along the x, y, & z axes. 4 health-regenerating targets spawn sequentially, each smaller and more evasive than the last. The score is awarded per hit, increasing with each target, with no miss penalty.
- Avoid predicting; maintain control by smoothly reacting to movements in real time.
Switching Tasks
This set of tasks is all about picking up the moving targets and figuring out what the best path is through the task to maximize the amount of points you are scoring. You will want to ensure that you are constantly moving toward targets that have the most targets nearby that you can switch to with your follow-up, as you will be reducing the time you’re searching for what’s next. None of these tasks feature a miss penalty, so you can hold down the left click again as you move from target to target.
Levelswitch
Train your target prioritization & switching skills with 5 targets moving level along the x-axis. The score is awarded per kill, with no miss penalty, so hold down fire the entire time.
- Avoid waiting for targets to land in your crosshairs; flick to each target and transition smoothly into horizontal tracking.
- Allow targets to be destroyed before flicking to the next.
Swarmswitch
Train your target prioritization & switching skills with 7 targets swarming along the x, y, & z axes. The score is awarded per kill, with no miss penalty, so hold down fire the entire time.
- Avoid switching off targets too early; actively match the target’s speed and trajectory to kill them before they change direction.
Bounceswitch
Train your target prioritization & switching skills with 5 bouncing targets. The score is awarded per kill, with no miss penalty, so hold down fire the entire time.
- Avoid switching to falling targets; focus on switching to targets bouncing to their peak to give enough time to kill them before they hit the ground.
